Highlights
·
Arrive to the arena no more
than 15 minutes before your booking time
·
Players should come dressed in
gear as much as possible
·
Spend as little time as
possible in the facilities – don’t gather or loiter in dressing rooms, parking
areas or public areas before, during or after your activity
·
Masks must
be worn in arenas when not engaging in physical activity
·
Change rooms are open with
physical distancing measures in place
·
Shower facilities are not
available; players are expected to shower at home
·
Do not share water bottles and
towels – Participants must bring their own water
·
Water fountains and vending
machines are not available
·
Spectator attendance is
strongly discouraged however spectators must wear a mask at all times and should
stay away from dressing rooms and play surfaces unless required to support
players; physical distancing guidelines should still be followed

Pre-Game
Preparation
Rosters
·
Teams will
be permitted a roster maximum of 16 players for each of the 4 regular season
cycles
·
Rosters
must be updated and submitted to the league prior a cycle commencing – Once
a cycle begins, a roster cannot be
changed
Waivers
·
All
players on a roster must sign a league waiver prior to playing – A player may not play without completing a
waiver
·
Waivers
can only be completed and submitted electronically on the main CMHA website
under the ‘2020-2021 Player Waiver’ tab
During
Games
·
No out of play direct or close
contact between players of opposing teams is permitted
·
No post game handshakes – Teams
must stay on their side of center ice after finishing a game
·
Opening and closing of the penalty
box gate is the responsibility of players – Scorekeepers will not open or close
gates
Scorekeepers
·
Scorekeepers are not considered
part of the cohort
·
Scorekeepers are required to
wear masks at all times
·
There will
be no contact between players and scorekeepers
Referees
·
Referees are not considered
part of the cohort
·
Referees will remain a minimum
of 6 feet from players during and between whistles
·
Referees will cover their
mouths at all times when dropping the puck
·
Referees will not intervene in
any altercation between players or scrums
·
Players wishing to speak to the
referees must remain a minimum of 6 feet away
COVID-19
Diagnosis or Exposure Protocols
If any player is diagnosed (tests positive)
with COVID-19, or has come into contact with someone who has tested positive
for COVID-19 in the last 14 days, the following will apply:

All
players must be aware of Alberta
Health Services Isolation Requirements (see more details below), must
follow the isolation requirements, and must inform team managers if they are
required to isolate
·
Upon
disclosure of any of the above, team Managers must immediately inform the
league
·
Team
Managers are responsible for disclosing all known COVID-19 diagnoses or
exposures – willful non-disclosures will result in removal from the league
·
If a
player tests positive, they must test negative before returning to play
Alberta
Health Services Mandatory Isolation Requirements
Albertans with Symptoms
·
You are legally required to
isolate for a minimum of 10 days if you have a cough, fever, shortness
of breath, runny nose, or sore throat that is not related to a pre-existing
illness or health condition
·
The mandatory isolation period
is 10 days from the start of symptoms, or until symptoms resolve, whichever
takes longer
Tested Positive for COVID-19
·
You are legally required to isolate
for a minimum of 10 days if you have tested positive for COVID-19
·
Isolation period is for 10 days
from the start of symptoms, or until symptoms resolve, whichever takes longer
Have symptoms but tested negative for COVID-19
·
If you tested negative and have
known exposure to COVID-19, you are legally required to isolate for 14 days
·
If you tested negative and have
no known exposure to the virus, you are not legally required to isolate.
However, it is important to stay home until your symptoms resolve so that you
do not infect others
Close contacts of confirmed cases
·
You are legally required to isolate
for 14 days and monitor for symptoms if you are a close contact of a
person who tested positive for COVID-19 (provides care, lives with or has close
physical contact without appropriate use of personal protective equipment, or
comes into direct contact with infectious body fluids)
·
If you become sick with cough,
fever, shortness of breath, runny nose or sore throat during this time, you
must isolate for an additional 10 days from the beginning of symptoms or until
you are feeling well, whichever takes longer
Travellers
·
You are legally required to isolate
for 14 days if you return to or enter Alberta from outside Canada
·
If you become sick with cough,
fever, shortness of breath, runny nose or sore throat during this time, you
must isolate for an additional 10 days from the beginning of symptoms or until
you are feeling well, whichever takes longer
